Conservation
Agate Bay Lodge is a firm believer in conservation.   The only way to sustain the quality fishery we have now, is to practice catch and release.  This is especially true of the larger breeding fish.  If people continually deplete lakes of larger fish, then you will lose the quality in numbers, and the trophy fish everyone dreams of.

As part of your regular fishing equipment we ask that everyone bring a camera.  Take a picture... or in our case, take many pictures, then release the fish unharmed to catch again another year.

This does not mean you cannot take fish to eat.   Just take fish on the lower end of the slot limits, I think most of us agree they taste better anyway.  Part of the fun, coming to a fishing lodge, is catching fish, fillet them, and have a good ole shore lunch.  Nothing tastes better then freshly caught and prepared fish.

To encourage you to follow this practice, we are putting our money where our mouth is... if everyone in your group purchases a conservation license we will reduce your base weekly package rate by 5%.   We strongly believe in protecting our resources today, and for future generations.

We'd like to thank everyone that takes advantage of this oppourtunity!   It shows your commitment as an angler that you care about our resources, and strive along with us to sustain a quality fishery.  Thanks to you, your kids, grandkids, and all future generations will enjoy the same (or better) fishing experience that you do.
You are never to young, or to old to practice catch and release!
